On Thursday December 6^th 2018 Andrew Smith (Broadway, Procurement Manager) and Andrea Buckle (Community Engagement Manager) attended a Meet the Buyer event hosted by David McAlpine at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel at Tower of London. 

Throughout the day Andrew and Andrea met with over 16 local suppliers, spending 15 minutes with each in order to get an in depth understanding of their business and the services they offer. The suppliers ranged from site welfare / construction site cleaning services to specialist high end marble and stone importers. The variety was commendable and proved very interesting to learn how these small businesses operate within London.

Following the event Andrew emailed the suppliers with feedback and advice for progress, a small gesture that all suppliers were very grateful to receive. Overall the day was a great success, we look forward to maintaining relationships with all who were met and will strive to have the opportunity to work with these small businesses as the Broadway development progresses.
